A Triathlete's Paradise
Located near Palm Springs, California, IRONMAN 70.3 Indian Wells-La Quinta raises the bar when it comes to an end-of-year race-cation. End your season with plenty of sunshine and the beauty of the palm tree lined streets when you race here this winter. Outside of race day, this region offers athletes and their families a range of activities, from relaxing to action packed. The area features luxurious resorts, world class spas, and top-rated golf courses.
The elements of this course are perfect for your first experience at an IRONMAN 70.3 race. The cool, calm waters of Lake Cahuilla allow athletes to easily sight off the mountains. The bike course features a flat and fast, picturesque ride that includes exclusive access to a lap around the Thermal Raceway, just when you feel the need for some extra speed! The Indian Wells Golf Course presents a stunning run filled with palm trees and views of the surrounding mountains. Enjoy the smooth rollers on the run course before entering one of the most epic finish lines at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Come experience all this event has to offer when you race this December.

Evaluation and management of the varied medical concerns encountered on race day along with the essentials in pre-race planning and preparedness.
The medical team's primary focus is to rapidly identify and care for acute illness, injury or collapse.
Medical personnel will track runners and record medical data to ensure timely updates to families of runners being treated.
Volunteer Medical Staff considerations: Qualified, Availability, Clinical Expertise, Individual State Laws.

Pre-Participation Physical Examination "PPE" (American College of Sports Medicine) Examiner - Dr. Hall
- Health and safety of the athlete in training and competition.
- Identify medical and orthopedic problems placing athlete at risk for injury or illness.
- Identify correctable problems that may impair athlete's ability to perform.
- Educate athlete concerning sports, exercise, injuries and health issues.
- Meet legal and insurance requirements.
- Best done in medical setting and appropriate privacy.
- Event PPE with Large # of athletes involved *Format or multiple stations with several health care providers each focusing in their expertise.
Interim Exam annually if required or indicated.
